Oyster mushrooms are often recommended for beginners as they are relatively easy to grow, require minimal equipment, and have a fast growth rate.

Oyster mushrooms thrive in moderate temperatures (around 65-75°F or 18-24°C), high humidity (around 85-95%), and indirect light.

The growing time varies depending on the mushroom variety, but generally, oyster mushrooms can be harvested within 1-2 from from the start of the growing process.

Many mushroom varieties can be grown on substrates such as pasteurized straw, sawdust, or even coffee grounds, which are readily available and cost-effective.
